For older homes lacking existing duct work (ie. homes with radiator heat and window a/c units), adding duct work requires that the walls, floors, and/or ceilings be removed or altered, and thus are invasive to the existing structure of the house. Ductless alternatives do exist. One such alternative is Mr. Slim, manufactured by Mitsubishi.

On the 1100 block of Armitage today (Lincoln Park), I found a metered spot and noticed something weird, yet all too familiar in Chicago – a parking meter covered with a makeshift item. In this case it was a plastic bag.
